Brandon Mendoza was just a young child when he first visited the McKnight family in Cape Cod, Massachusetts through The Fresh Air Fund. To this day, the McKnights remain a constant source of support and love for Brandon.

Every year, the Countdown to Summer helps us raise the funds necessary to give New York City's neediest children the summer vacation they look forward to and deserve. Nearly 75 percent of all funding that The Fresh Air Fund receives comes from friends like you.
Fresh Air CampEach year, we provide inner-city children with free camping programs. With your help, this summer we'll bring 3,000 children to camp. Camp adventures include hikes in the forest, swimming in lakes, learning about computers and much more.
Volunteer Host Family ProgramEvery summer, thousands of New York City's children stay with volunteer host families from over 300 local communities, called Friendly Towns, in 13 states from Virginia to Maine and Canada. Children enjoy participating in many summer activities, and often return year after year – creating memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
